Through Settings, you tin can globally adjust font size but the only Messages screen this affects is the primary Conversation screen which shows all conversations. Once you click on a conversation, normal font size is presented. Frustrating for my old optics...
UPDATE: Ironically, when yous conform Font Size in Settings, if you swipe the sample screen above the sliders, it shows you a sample Letters screen and the font size does alter in the sample, but it does NOT alter in the bodily Messages app. Sounds similar a problems to me as they are depicting what I want to exercise, only doesn't work.
I'd similar to use the stock app every bit it has some features that are unique. At that place must be a way to change the font size so the setting is persistent, no?

It changes when y'all alter the font size in display settings font.
Equally I mentioned in my postal service, this is non true. On my telephone, changing the font size in display setting Only affects font size in the primary Conversations view. Once you click on an actual conversation, the font size returns to the default tiny size.

UPDATE: Ironically, when you adapt global Font Size in Settings, if you swipe the sample screen in a higher place the sliders, it shows you a sample Messages screen and the font size does modify in the sample, simply information technology does NOT alter in the actual Messages app. Sounds like a bug to me equally they are depicting what I want to practice, just doesn't piece of work.
Hopefully Samsung will acknowledge this bug and release a new version of the app. Conspicuously the global Font Size Setting is supposed to do exactly this.

Information technology's really not that hard to pinch zoom. Takes a half 2d. Sure, information technology'd be nice if it would stick only, c'mon man.

It's dissapointing that I can't alter the balloons or fonts in the messaging ap any more - would be nice if we could - and change font size too - and so for now, I am using the MOOD messaging ap and while I prefer the Samsung Stock one better - Mood isn't bad at all.

That's not to say that I don't agree that it would be better if we could choose a persistent font size. I practice.
Simply nosotros're talking about a split up-second pinch out to increase the size.
A separate-2d.
So, yes... C'monday.

I think yous mean, "It should piece of work the manner I desire it to work." It IS working every bit designed. Information technology's simply that you lot don't like the new pattern. That's not to say that I don't agree that it would be better if nosotros could cull a persistent font size. I exercise.
Simply we're talking virtually a split-2nd pinch out to increment the size.
A split-second.
Then, aye... C'mon.
Thousands of people having to take a split-2nd to conform for a design issues every single time? No. You're missing the indicate.
